50,000-Unit Miracle Captivates France, Heralding Global Stadium Tour
Stray Kids, at the forefront of the global K-pop phenomenon, has reached another landmark in the heart of Europe’s music market.
JYP Entertainment said on the 3rd that the group’s latest mini album, ‘This & That’ (THIS & THAT), has earned official ‘Gold Certification’ from the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP). SNEP’s gold certification is a prestigious distinction awarded only to works that surpass 50,000 units in combined physical sales, downloads and streams.
The speed of the achievement is particularly notable. The new album surpassed 50,000 units just 20 days after its release, once again demonstrating the explosive power of the group’s global fandom. With the milestone, Stray Kids now has its sixth gold-certified album, following its third full-length album ‘5-STAR’ and mini album ‘樂-STAR’, among others.
The group’s standing is equally formidable in Asia. On the 29th and 30th of last month, Stray Kids became the ‘first’ overseas male artist to hold solo concerts at Tokyo’s ‘National Stadium’. The group drew a massive crowd of 140,000 over the two days, showcasing its powerful ticket-selling appeal and box-office draw across music markets worldwide.
