A dispute over the facts involving singer and actor 'Kim Min-jong' and singer 'MC Mong' reached a dramatic resolution after about four months, ushering in a new phase.

According to the music industry on the sixth, 'MC Mong' unexpectedly revealed during a live broadcast on the fifth that he had met 'Kim Min-jong' in person and apologized. During the broadcast, he bowed his head and said, "I apologize once again for causing misunderstandings about Min-jong," adding, "It was entirely my fault to mention my senior at all."

He added, "The two of us met on the fifth and cleared up the misunderstandings related to 'illegal gambling', and my senior warmly embraced me."

'Kim Min-jong'’s side also accepted the younger singer’s apology in a spirit of reconciliation. A person familiar with the matter said, "We accepted with an open heart the belated apology from a junior who realized his mistake and bowed his head first," stressing, "Although he was the junior who targeted him and caused serious 'financial and emotional harm', Kim Min-jong reached out first and embraced someone who had come forward after repenting for his wrongdoing."

The incident began in May. During a live broadcast at the time, 'MC Mong' said an 'illegal gambling group' involving entertainers existed and identified 'Kim Min-jong' as one of its members.

'Kim Min-jong' immediately pushed back, calling the claim the 'dissemination of false information,' and on the first of this month filed a complaint against 'MC Mong' with the police station having jurisdiction, accusing him of 'defamation' in violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. The public is now watching to see whether the 'defamation complaint' will be withdrawn following the dramatic reconciliation.
