'Hope' Original Soundtrack Album Released Worldwide! Music Director Michael Abels Unveils a New World!

The film 〈Hope〉 is drawing attention with the worldwide simultaneous release of its original soundtrack album, which extends the genre thrills filling the screen through music. Michael Abels, the music director who has deepened films with his richly layered musical vision from 〈Get Out〉 and 〈Us〉 to 〈Nope〉​, took part in 〈Hope〉’s music, bringing the film’s distinctive atmosphere to vivid completion. Comprising 30 score tracks, the album captures 〈Hope〉’s distinctive genre shifts in a diverse range of sounds, from the suspense that gradually builds with the appearance of an unfamiliar extraterrestrial being to large-scale science fiction and action. In the early part of the film, sound steadily builds the tension, while the latter half adds spectacular energy to the action sequences through the majestic performance of a 70-piece orchestra. Michael Abels described the music that completes 〈Hope〉’s bold and original atmosphere: “This score is structured so that its style evolves as the film progresses. The overall score contains a tribute to traditional Western film music, but the first half is primarily rooted in the suspense and horror genres, using tense ambient textures and unsettling harmonies. As it moves into the second half, it transforms into grand adventure music, with massive action cues performed by a 70-piece orchestra.” Released through Sony Music, the album is available worldwide on major Korean music platforms including Melon, Genie Music, FLO and Bugs, as well as global platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram and TikTok.
