The new release comes about six months after the group unveiled its first studio album, 'Ode to Love,' in April to widespread acclaim. The album will feature six tracks spanning a range of genres that showcase the members' musical growth, including the title track 'I SPY.'

The mini album tells the story of the six members — Sion, Yushi, Riku, Sakuya, Ryo and Jaehee — as they confront unfamiliar emotions and grow another step. The trailer for 'Confused Boy,' released ahead of the comeback at midnight Thursday on the group's official YouTube channel, immediately piqued fans' curiosity. Set in a new digital world called 'WISH LAND,' the video uses stylish direction to depict the members encountering an unknown entity called 'energy' in a tranquil space, feeling excitement for the first time and gradually recognizing their own emotions.

Since debuting in February 2024, NCT WISH has built a solid fan base by achieving notable results in a short period. The group secured its third straight million-seller title with this year's first studio album, 'Ode to Love.' Its Japanese single 'YO-I-DON! / BOY MEETS GIRL,' released in July, also surpassed 500,000 units in cumulative shipments and received a double-platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
