'Made in Korea Season 2' creates must-see series for Golden Week! 3 reasons to binge-watch

Ahead of the October holiday stretch following Chuseok, here are three reasons you won't want to miss the series.

Disney+'s original series 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉, from the global streaming service known for delivering the ultimate entertainment experience through outstanding storytelling and innovative content, has revealed three reasons viewers won't want to miss it during the October holiday stretch following Chuseok.

#1. From the first episode to the last, it's like watching a movie!

A story that barrels through all six episodes, with suspense on the verge of exploding!

Set nine years later, the noir drama 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉 follows Baek Ki-tae on his perilous rampage toward even greater ambitions. Its first binge-watch highlight is a relentless plot. Season 1 built out its world through different incidents and characters in each episode. Season 2 delivers a denser story as the characters' desires and choices converge around one massive event. Director Woo Min-ho described the season's approach, saying, “We push forward from beginning to end so that the six episodes feel like one movie.” By focusing on the emotions and psychological warfare that build until the moment of a fierce confrontation, 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉 creates taut suspense and makes a Golden Week binge-watch even more rewarding.

#2. Hyun Bin rises higher VS. Jung Woo-sung returns more ruthless

Characters transformed by nine years, with relationships newly entangled!

The second binge-watch highlight is an unpredictable showdown between characters transformed by the passage of nine years. Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), now holding even greater power, charges relentlessly toward his intensified ambitions, but cracks begin to show when he faces variables beyond his calculations. Jang Gun-young (Jung Woo-sung), meanwhile, returns with an unyielding resolve forged through years of enduring solely for revenge, setting himself in sharp opposition to Baek Ki-tae. Their rematch shakes the entire series in ways unlike Season 1, creating twists and tension beyond imagination.

#3. The closest family member becomes the most unpredictable variable!

Hyun Bin X Woo Do-hwan, brothers clashing between ambition and conviction!

The final binge-watch highlight is the deepening family saga centered on the relationship between Baek Ki-tae and Baek Ki-hyun (Woo Do-hwan). Baek Ki-tae wants to protect his younger brother while also having him follow his lead, while Baek Ki-hyun seeks to protect his family according to his own judgment. The two clash when faced with different choices. As the brothers' past comes to light, the affection and resentment built up between them heighten the tension. Hyun Bin described his feelings toward Baek Ki-hyun, saying, “It was more complicated because he was family whom I had to protect, yet also someone who was moving beyond my wishes.” Woo Do-hwan likewise explained his more deeply developed character, saying, “I wanted to portray someone who acts with a sense of responsibility for what he says and does.” Baek Ki-hyun's agonizing choices between Baek Ki-tae and Jang Gun-young, along with the brothers' desperation to protect their family in different ways, will keep viewers riveted to their fates until the final moment. With its many compelling qualities, 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉 is expected to offer viewers an unmissable binge-watch experience during the ongoing Golden Week holiday stretch. All six episodes, from 1 through 6, are available now on Disney+.
