Kim Hyun-joo of ‘Paradise Lost’ lights up Busan International Film Festival opening-night red carpet

Ryu Sun-woo, the son Ryu So-young lost in a camping school bus disappearance nine years ago and believed dead, returns alive in a miracle.

Kim Hyun-joo of 〈Paradise Lost〉, officially invited to the 31st Busan International Film Festival’s Gala Presentation section, appeared on the opening-night red carpet. With tickets for all four official screenings sold out ahead of its domestic premiere, the film has drawn intense interest, and Kim attracted plenty of attention on the red carpet as well. She completed her elegant yet understated red-carpet look with a long black dress. Wearing a composed smile as she walked the carpet, Kim captivated onlookers.

The 〈Paradise Lost〉 team’s official schedule continues Oct. 8 (Thursday), when director Yeon Sang-ho serves as a guest moderator for director Alfonso Cuarón’s master class. On Oct. 9 (Friday), Yeon and Kim will meet audiences at an outdoor stage event and a gala screening Q&A. Bae Hyun-sung will join them on Oct. 10 (Saturday) for an official press conference and a Q&A following the second screening. By meeting domestic audiences first in Busan, the team is expected to build even greater anticipation ahead of the film’s release.

Director Yeon Sang-ho’s new film 〈Paradise Lost〉, which will build anticipation by meeting domestic audiences first in Busan, opens in theaters Oct. 21.
