The rise of a hyperconnected K-pop hub wins overwhelming support from Generation Z worldwide

MnetPlus, the global K-pop content platform operated by CJ ENM, has surpassed '50 million subscribers', cementing its unrivaled position in the global entertainment market.

MnetPlus is now available in more than 250 regions worldwide, CJ ENM said on the 7th. With a broad range of content, including K-pop artists' performances, livestreams and distinctive original programs, the platform has established itself as an essential destination for the 'global K-pop' fandom.

The demographics of its users are particularly notable. About 90% of new subscribers who joined recently were in their teens or 20s, while overseas users accounted for about 80% of all users. The figures suggest that Generation Z worldwide, a core consumer group for K-pop, is responding enthusiastically to the interactive communication features and exclusive content offered by MnetPlus.

The strategy of continually enhancing interactive community features, allowing artists and fans to connect directly beyond simply watching content, is widely credited with driving the results. A large-scale global voting system and multilingual support have significantly lowered barriers to entry for fans worldwide, fueling the platform's rapid growth.
