'Perfect couple' of 10 years opens up about split as both start over
On the 9th, 'Kim In-seok' announced the split directly to the public through 'social media'. "About two years ago, we came to accept the decision to end our relationship as a married couple and go our separate ways," he said. "Although our relationship as husband and wife ends here, we will continue to do our best for our children and be good parents together without change." He made clear his firm commitment to 'co-parenting'.
Explaining why they waited two years to make the split public, he said, "I also needed time to accept this reality and sort through my feelings." He added, "It wasn't an easy time, but now I want to overcome it and make a new start," promising to appear before the public as a more mature person.
The two met through an acquaintance in 2014 and made headlines by marrying just five months later in a whirlwind wedding. They have two sons and had previously shared images of a happy family through various television programs and 'social media', making the news a significant disappointment for the public.
'Kim In-seok' made his debut in 2001 as a member of KBS' 16th class of publicly recruited comedians. He went on to make a name for himself on major comedy programs including KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert' and tvN's 'Comedy Big League'. More recently, he expanded his activities as part of 'Kim Bbak', a trot duo he formed with fellow comedian Yoon Sung-ho.
'Angela Park' was crowned Miss Korea Hawaii in 2008. Drawing on her fluent language skills, she has established herself as an 'English-language host' on KBS, EBS and Arirang TV.
