Netflix Film ‘Possible Love’ Reveals Story Stills Featuring Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong Ahead of Nov. 6 Release

On Nov. 3, Netflix unveiled five story stills featuring the lead actors and their emotionally nuanced performances, ahead of the global release of director Lee Chang-dong’s new film 〈Possible Love〉 (Possible Love) on Nov. 6.

〈Possible Love〉 tells the story of two couples who have followed very different paths in life: a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary filmmaker and her husband. They meet while making a documentary and come face to face with their own lives and hidden desires. The film became the first Korean movie to win the Venice International Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize. It also earned enthusiastic support from critics around the world after making waves at major festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival and Mill Valley Film Festival.

The newly released story stills vividly capture the first meeting of the four characters, whose lives become entangled through documentary filming, and the subtle tensions that gradually emerge. At the funeral of a laid-off worker, Ho-seok (Sul Kyung-gu) angrily confronts documentary filmmaker Ye-ji (Cho Yeo-jeong), who is holding a camera, while his wife, Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon), tries to stop him. Their first encounter immediately creates a chilling tension. Other stills show Mi-ok calmly responding to Ye-ji’s interview, and Ho-seok and Mi-ok sitting across from each other, sharing drinks with lonely expressions that speak to the long years of pain they have endured.

One scene in particular catches the eye: Ye-ji’s wealthy, well-to-do husband, Sang-woo (Zo In-sung), carefully brushes sand from Mi-ok’s knee on the beach in front of their vacation home. The moment reveals the unfamiliar, subtle undercurrent between them. The documentary camera serves as a catalyst, hinting that the relationships and emotions among the four will soon enter a new phase.

Featuring the delicate direction and screenplay of acclaimed filmmaker Lee Chang-dong and a powerhouse ensemble performance from Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong, Netflix film 〈Possible Love〉 will be released worldwide on Netflix on Nov. 6.
