Son Suk-ku, Eita Nagayama, Kim Shin-rock, Choi Sung-eun and Jung Jae-young: First Stills from “The Blue Road” Revealed!

The story follows two detectives investigating a corpse with twisted limbs, a mysterious message and a series of horrific murders that continue across borders.

〈The Blue Road〉 has unveiled stills that capture everything from the dynamic between the two detectives to the people caught up in a mysterious string of murders spanning borders, heightening anticipation for the series.

First, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency detective Kim Seok (Son Suk-ku) briefs fellow detectives, while Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department detective Inose (Eita Nagayama) canvasses a back alley in Tokyo. As each pursues the investigation in his own way, the two offer contrasting appeal and leave us wondering what they’ll accomplish together.

Stills of the pair investigating together put their cooperation and bond on full display, building anticipation for their chemistry. But in another scene, they charge at each other without hesitation inside a shop, hinting at a fierce clash and raising questions about their relationship.

Meanwhile, amid a crowd of Red Devils fans panicking over something, Kim Seok stands alone with a handgun, foreshadowing a turbulent investigation. Kim Seok also receives the business card of Seo Hyun-tae (Jung Jae-young), a powerful figure in Japan’s underworld, in the room of the mysterious Korean-Japanese businesswoman Lee Yun-ok (Kim Shin-rock), who has offered to help them. As the card raises questions about where the case will lead, Seo Hyun-tae is shown seated among his subordinates, his overwhelming charisma on full display and the mystery surrounding his identity deepening. Meanwhile, National Intelligence Service agent Yoon Soo-kyung (Choi Sung-eun) pressures Inose in an interrogation room. Working the case from a different perspective than the two detectives, she leaves us wondering what brought her into the investigation and what she is after.

Featuring director Han Jun-hee’s signature visual flair and stylish mise-en-scène, along with a fiery on-screen partnership between Son Suk-ku and Eita Nagayama, 〈The Blue Road〉 brings the excitement of a cross-border crime investigation. The series premieres exclusively on Netflix on Friday, November 20.
