Soul and funk sounds erupt on a stage so close you can almost reach out and touch it

Love and Peace, a singular force in Korean rock and funk, will hold its solo small-theater concert ‘Funky Tonight!!!’ at Samick M-Pot Hall in Hak-dong, Seoul, on the 14th. Vision Entertainment, the concert organizer, announced the date on the 6th, promising a top-tier live show that brings the band and audience together.

Formed from the legendary band Seoul Vagabond, which made its name on stages for U.S. Eighth Army audiences in the 1970s, Love and Peace reshaped the Korean music scene with its 1978 debut single, ‘We’ve Been Out of Touch for a While.’ Over the past 48 years, it has delivered countless classics, including ‘I Can’t Tell You,’ ‘Rose,’ and ‘Mother’s Lullaby,’ winning fans across generations with its signature soul-and-funk groove.

Today, the band features a top-tier lineup of seasoned session musicians, led by veteran vocalist and bandleader Lee Chulho, with Park Taejin on bass, Jung Jaewook on drums, Lee Haejun on guitar, and Won Seongjin on keyboards—adding to the group’s musical polish.

The highlight of the show is a live performance at extremely close range, breaking down the barrier between stage and audience. The concert is designed to let fans feel the musicians’ breath and the instruments’ vivid vibrations—sensations hard to experience in a large venue. The set list will offer a rich sound, ranging from the timeless hits that defined an era to recent releases and the band’s signature covers of pop classics.

“This will be an opportunity to experience Love and Peace’s real live sound from closer than ever,” an organizer said. “We’ll create a gathering that brings generations together, with longtime fans who have shared in the legend over the years alongside younger music fans captivated by retro sounds.”
