BLACKPINK Returns as a Complete Group! New Song 'Jump' Released

Global girl group BLACKPINK is embarking on a new musical endeavor through a genre transformation. YG Entertainment officially announced on the 10th that BLACKPINK will release their new digital single 'Jump' at 1 PM on the 11th.

This new song is the first work presented by BLACKPINK as a complete group, excluding the game original soundtrack (OST) 'The Girls', and it has been 2 years and 10 months since their second full album 'BORN PINK' was released in September 2022.

'Jump' is a bold transformation that deviates from BLACKPINK's existing musical style. The intense beat of the chorus creates an addictive quality, and the members' unique vocals layer over a guitar riff reminiscent of a Western film, completing a distinctive sound.

The music production involved producers Teddy and 24, who have created BLACKPINK's representative hit songs, and added a global sensibility through collaboration with overseas lyricists and composers. YG stated, "BLACKPINK's bold genre transformation will expand their musical spectrum and bring fresh enjoyment."

The music video is directed by Dave Meyers, a Grammy Award-winning director for Best Music Video, which has garnered attention. Director Meyers has brought BLACKPINK's unique worldview to life through bold and colorful scenes and a delightful storyline.

YG emphasized, "You will be able to witness the perfect synergy of the four members who have come together after 2 years and 10 months," adding, "The music video vividly expresses the narrative of the team BLACKPINK and the influence they possess through striking visuals."

BLACKPINK first unveiled this song during their world tour 'DEADLINE' concert held at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 5th and 6th, drawing a passionate response from the audience. They are set to conduct a large-scale world tour with 31 performances in a total of 16 cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Milan, London, and Bangkok.
