
Actress Lee Jung-eun, who returns with the movie 〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉, expressed her hope that families would return to theaters this summer.
On the afternoon of the 24th, in a certain location in Jongno-gu, Seoul, actress Lee Jung-eun met with Cineplay to discuss the film 〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉.
〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉 is a comedic drama about a father who goes into secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last remaining zombie in the world. Lee Jung-eun plays the role of 'Bamsun', the mother of Jeong-hwan (Jo Jung-seok) and the grandmother of Sua (Choi Yu-ri), who has turned into a zombie.
In the interview, Lee Jung-eun said, "When I was young, I watched a movie called 〈Benji〉. The story of a dog saving children made everyone feel united, and that experience was a great motivation in my childhood." She expressed her hope that this 〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉 would be a movie that the whole family can watch, just like 〈Benji〉.
The 〈Benji〉 (1974) mentioned by Lee Jung-eun tells the story of a dog saving children in danger. It was loved worldwide at the time and became a representative film that families could watch together.
The movie 〈My Daughter is a Zombie〉 will be released in theaters nationwide on the 30th.
