The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced that the commemorative song 'The Light That Does Not Go Out' (Keep The Light), produced to mark the 80th anniversary of liberation, will be released on major domestic music platforms at 6 PM on the 14th.

This commemorative song is composed by Lee Jae (EJAE), the composer who achieved number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the original soundtrack 'Golden' from the recently popular animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', drawing attention.

The 80th Anniversary of Liberation Commemorative Song expresses respect for the patriots and independence activists who did not give up hope for liberation even during the Japanese colonial period and various crises, through K-Pop's unique intense beats and fast-paced rap. In particular, the production team explained that the chorus conveys a message of hope and pride to the current generation inheriting the spirit of liberation through deep melodies.

The production of the lyrics and choreography involved YouTube creator Woojeong-ing, rapper Miran, singer Hyunjin, dancer Amy, and others. They formed a project group 'Today Ya' that embodies the meaning of 'Today exists because of the day of liberation', and they are set to have their first stage at the National Sovereignty Grand Festival '80 Years of Liberation, Building the Future with National Sovereignty' held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul at 8 PM on the 15th, which is Liberation Day.

The process of producing the music itself was planned as a content piece. Since July, a web entertainment program 'Today’s Debut Team' covering the formation process of 'Today Ya' has been broadcast on the YouTube channel 'Studio Welcome', and various episodes including the music recording scene, choreography production process, and visits to historical sites related to the independence movement are planned to be released until September.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs stated that all music revenue generated from this commemorative song will be fully donated to support the descendants of independence activists.
