Challenge of Live Action, K-Webtoon 'The Losing Side is the First Lady' Drama Production Announcement

The webtoon 'The Losing Side is the First Lady' is returning as a live-action drama.

Serialized since May 28, Naver Webtoon 'The Losing Side is the First Lady' (written by Choi Yu-jin/illustrated by Kang Ji-young) depicts the story of a couple of National Assembly members standing before the public as presidential candidates from different parties. It has attracted attention with its elegant art style and the unique setting of a couple competing as presidential candidates.

Thanks to this popularity, on August 19, Jaedam Media announced the live-action adaptation, stating, "Recently, we signed a contract for the drama adaptation of 'The Losing Side is the First Lady', which is serialized every Thursday on Naver Webtoon, with the film and drama production company Cross Pictures." This live-action adaptation will be handled by Cross Pictures, which has successfully produced webtoon-based dramas such as 〈Office Blind Date〉 and 〈Voice of My Heart〉.

Meanwhile, Jaedam Media is accelerating its global video business following a strategic investment from MBC in the first half of this year, and plans to actively expand K-webtoons into the world through secondary expansions of various IPs, including 'The Losing Side is the First Lady'.
