Netflix's documentary 〈I Am a Survivor〉 continues to create a strong impact even in its second week of release. As the second story of 〈I Am God〉, it records the voices of survivors of four horrific incidents that shocked South Korea, and the stories of that day that must not be repeated. Since its release on the 15th, the documentary series 〈I Am a Survivor〉 has provided a powerful resonance through the voices of survivors who lived through tragedy. It has maintained high interest, ranking 2nd in the 'South Korea TOP 10 Series' even in its second week.

The reactions from domestic and international media are also enthusiastic. Foreign media praised it, stating, "As the series unfolds, it reveals how far people can go for money and the stark reality of a society that prioritizes the accumulation of wealth" (TIME), and "Confronting the most painful tragedies of modern Korean history, it reveals the painful truths that still weigh on the lives of survivors" (India Times). Additionally, "A reality more cinematic than movies. Looking into the depths of the incident makes one realize that this is not a past event but still an ongoing issue" (Jung Deok-hyun, critic), and "The fear that humans can treat other humans in such a way, the sense of powerlessness towards a public authority that is hard to gauge how rotten it is, and the fear that all of this could happen to me. The moments when I wanted to turn off the viewing were met again by the survivors who bravely stood in front of the camera. The feeling that we must not turn a blind eye to their courage overcame the fear" (Jung Si-woo, film journalist) showed a strong response.

〈I Am a Survivor〉 contains four horrific tragedies that occurred in South Korea, which are still ongoing, in eight episodes. The desperate voices of survivors wishing that such tragedies never repeat again closely convey the structural problems of our society and sound a heavy alarm. In particular, it examined how our society and public authority have produced criminals through the struggles of Maple, who fights against JMS (Christian Gospel Mission), which is still active after 〈I Am God〉 in 2023, and the forces that support it. It also reflected on the Busan Brothers Home incident, where the worst human rights violations occurred under the pretext of social purification, and how public authority has condoned crimes, and through the life-risking escape and courage of survivors revealed how those pushed out by our society created a 'murder factory'. It sharply pointed out what horrific events occur when human value is lower than money through the collapse of the Sampoong Department Store.

Director Cho Sung-hyun stated, "I know how difficult and hard it must have been for the survivors to testify about the pains they could not even share with their families," adding, "The survivors testified about their hellish lives to inform our society of its horrors. I hope many people watch it and that discussions about what we need to change structurally will take place."
