'Twelve' Lee Joo-bin Perfectly Portrays the Dragon Angel 'Mir'!

Actress Lee Joo-bin captured the audience's attention from her first appearance in 'Twelve'.

In the KBS 2TV·Disney+ series 'Twelve' aired on the 23rd and 24th, Lee Joo-bin took on the role of the angel Mir, symbolizing a dragon, showcasing a new face. 'Twelve' is an action hero story about 12 angels who live in human form to protect humanity and fight against evil forces. Even amidst a narrative filled with many intertwined characters, Lee Joo-bin displayed a strong presence.

Mir first appeared as a museum curator leading students. She raised eyebrows by firmly refusing the invitation from the angel administrator Marok (played by Sung Dong-il) to join her colleagues. As Marok, who was watching her hurriedly leave, remarked, "What did she see in her dreams?" the moment added to the curiosity about the secret she was hiding, as Mir could not hide her anxious expression while looking at a necklace engraved with a dragon pattern.

However, despite Mir's efforts to endure loneliness and protect the angels, the forces of evil eventually revealed themselves. With three soul stones needed to plunge the world into hell and possessing the 'soul of the dragon', she quickly became a target for the evil spirits. After being ambushed on her way home and collapsing helplessly, it seemed that other angels joined in to narrowly escape the crisis, but the angels, having lost their special abilities, appeared to be overwhelmed by the followers of evil, creating a tense atmosphere.

In 'Twelve', Lee Joo-bin showcases action with an Eastern flair using a long-range weapon while delicately expressing the character's emotions with a gaze that oscillates between fear and determination, enhancing the immersion. Notably, she portrayed the dragon, a creature that does not exist in reality, among the angels inspired by the Eastern zodiac. She received praise for convincingly building the fantasy world of 'Twelve' without exaggeration or dissonance. Just with her first appearance, she breathed life into the character Mir, leaving her own mark even in a drama with many characters.

Subsequently, Mir, recalling a figure from her memories, struggles and senses a strange energy from Oh-gi (played by Park Hyung-sik) whom she encounters by chance, hinting at a hidden past between the two characters. This heightened curiosity about the narrative that will unfold in the future.
