〈Queen Mantis〉 returning actor Ko Hyun-jung shared her thoughts on collaborating with Director Byun Young-joo.

Ko Hyun-jung revealed that the reason she participated in the SBS drama 〈Queen Mantis〉 was "I waited because I wanted to receive direction from Director Byun Young-joo," expressing that she had been looking forward to collaborating with Director Byun Young-joo for a long time.

At the same time, Ko Hyun-jung said, "When I see the director, honey drips down," adding an episode with Director Byun Young-joo. Ko Hyun-jung shared, "I was very sick while filming 〈Queen Mantis〉, but the director said, 'I have everything prepared, so don’t say you’re okay when you’re in pain, just tell me everything.' And then he said, 'I’m a bad person who wants to use all of Hyun-jung's essence and peak performance, so don’t consider me.' I had never heard such a thing before," expressing her gratitude towards Director Byun Young-joo.

Meanwhile, the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 〈Queen Mantis〉 is a high-density crime thriller where a detective, who has hated the 'Mantis' mother for his entire life, unexpectedly teams up with her to solve a case that occurs 20 years after the capture of the brutal serial killer 'Mantis.' It will premiere on September 5 at 9:50 PM on SBS.
