Go Hyun-jung's Shocking Transformation into a Serial Killer!... SBS's New Friday-Saturday Drama 'The Mantis: The Killer's Exit' to Premiere on the 5th of Next Month

Actress Go Hyun-jung is set to meet viewers with a shocking transformation as a serial killer in a new drama. SBS announced on the 4th that the new Friday-Saturday drama 〈The Mantis: The Killer's Exit〉 (hereafter 〈The Mantis〉) will premiere on the 5th of next month.

In the drama, Go Hyun-jung plays the role of Jeong Yi-shin, a brutal serial killer who has been serving a sentence for 20 years.

Jang Dong-yoon appears as detective Cha Soo-yeol. Cha Soo-yeol finds himself in a complicated situation where he must collaborate with his mother, Jeong Yi-shin, whom he hated the most, when a new crime mimicking past serial murders occurs after 20 years.

This drama has garnered attention as it is directed by Byun Young-joo, who helmed the film 〈Helpless〉. Director Byun has established herself as a leading female filmmaker in Korea since her debut in 1993 with the film 〈Live A Woman In Asia〉, directing works such as 〈Ardor〉 and 〈Helpless〉.

This is Director Byun Young-joo's second drama direction following last year's MBC drama 〈Snow White Must Die-Black Out〉.
