Choo Young Woo Becomes the New Face of Hallyu.. Receives the '2025 K-Expo' Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award

'Rising Star' Choo Young Woo has become the new face of Hallyu.

On the 28th, Choo Young Woo received the 'Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award' at the '7th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2025 K-Expo)' held at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul. The 'Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award' is given to the new face of Hallyu, awarded to artists who have contributed to the spread of Hallyu and the enhancement of Seoul's recognition as a center of Hallyu.

Choo Young Woo expressed his heartfelt thoughts, saying, "I am happy and honored to receive this meaningful award alongside wonderful people from various fields. As someone who cherishes and loves Korean popular culture and arts, I feel it is truly significant that I could contribute, even in a small way, to Hallyu. I will continue to do my best in my responsibilities and work hard to grow as an actor who can have a positive influence on someone."

Choo Young Woo has proven his wide acting spectrum by successfully starring in this year's JTBC drama 〈The Tale of Lady Ok〉, the Netflix series 〈The Trauma Code: Heroes on call〉, 〈Mercy for None〉, and the tvN drama 〈Head Over Heels〉, all of which have become hits.

Meanwhile, Choo Young Woo will kick off his Asia fan meeting tour '2025 CHOO YOUNG WOO ASIA FANMEETING TOUR 'Who (is) Choo?'' at the KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on September 6, with all seats sold out.
