Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young Cast in Genie TV Original Drama 'Scarecrow'

Actors Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young come together for a crime drama.

The Genie TV original drama 〈Scarecrow〉 is set to be released in the first half of 2026 and tells the story of a detective investigating a serial murder case who unexpectedly partners with someone he despises. The drama is directed by Park Jun-woo, known for 〈Taxi Driver〉 and 〈Crash〉, and writer Lee Ji-hyun from 〈Taxi Driver〉 reunites with director Park Jun-woo.

In 〈Scarecrow〉, actors Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young have been cast. Park Hae-soo plays 'Kang Tae-joo', a detective who, after being demoted to his hometown of Gangseong, refuses to compromise with injustice. Kang Tae-joo, who sees the Gangseong serial murder case as an opportunity for redemption, encounters his former classmate and the prosecutor he has a bad history with, Cha Si-young (Lee Hee-joon), leading to a stormy transformation. Lee Hee-joon portrays 'Cha Si-young', a prosecutor from an elite family, filled with endless desire. He aims to solve the highly publicized Gangseong serial murder case and use his fame to enter politics, teaming up with his former classmate and ace detective Kang Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo) in a precarious and thrilling partnership. Meanwhile, Kwak Sun-young plays 'Seo Ji-won', a righteous and aggressive reporter from Gang Tae-joo's alma mater. Once he bites into a story, he won't let go until the end, keeping a close watch on the police as the Gangseong serial murder investigation unfolds.

The Genie TV original drama 〈Scarecrow〉 will be released in the first half of 2026 through Genie TV and Channel ENA.
