Park Jung-min Returns to the Stage After 8 Years... 'Life of Pi' Domestic Premiere

Park Jung-min has chosen 'Life of Pi' as his return to the stage.

The play 'Life of Pi' is based on the novel of the same name by Yann Martel, telling the story of Pi, who drifts at sea with a tiger while moving with his family who runs a zoo.

On September 5, the production company of the play 'Life of Pi' revealed the casting. The role of Pi will be played by musical actors Park Kang-hyun and Park Jung-min. After showing his activities as a publisher's representative instead of acting this year, Park Jung-min has chosen the stage for the first time in 8 years since the play 'Romeo and Juliet' in 2017. Besides the two actors, Seo Hyun-cheol and Hwang Man-ik will play Pi's father, while Joo Ah and Song In-seong will take on the roles of the mother and nurse, respectively. The roles of the insurance company employee Okamoto and the captain will be played by Jin Sang-hyun and Jeong Ho-jun. The roles of Lulu Chen will be played by Im Min-young and Kim Ji-hye.

The play 'Life of Pi' will have its Korean premiere at the GS Art Center from December 2 to March 2, 2026.
