Netflix 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST Singers to Appear as VMA Presenters

The singers who voiced the characters of HuntRix in the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' will appear as presenters at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), one of the leading popular music award ceremonies in the United States.

According to the official VMA social media on the 2nd (local time), Lee Jae, Ray Ami, and Audrey Nuna will participate as presenters at the awards ceremony to be held on the 7th at the UBS Arena in New York. Lee Jae expressed in a video interview, "We are very happy to be appearing as presenters," and added, "I hope to see many people at the awards ceremony."

Lee Jae, a composer who is a former SM Entertainment trainee, voices the character Lumi, the leader of HuntRix in the film. Ray Ami and Audrey Nuna voice the characters Joy and Mira, respectively, and they also performed songs. All three share the commonality of being Korean-Americans.

In particular, the original soundtrack (OST) 'Golden' from 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' sung by them, has gained immense popularity, ranking number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.

Billboard announced on the 2nd that 'Golden' ranked 7th on the 'Songs of the Summer' chart. The 'Songs of the Summer' chart selects popular summer songs based on Billboard Hot 100 streaming, radio airplay scores, and digital sales from June to early September each year.

Meanwhile, in the past, BTS's 'Butter' topped the 'Songs of the Summer' chart in 2021, and this year, pop star Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' reached the top of the chart.
