On the 7th, the distributor announced that Park Chan-wook's new film 〈No Other Choice〉, which premiered at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, has been sold to over 200 countries worldwide, achieving commercial success.

According to CJ ENM and Moho Film, the film has been confirmed for sale in over 200 countries, including North America, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. This figure surpasses the 192 countries sold for Park Chan-wook's previous film 〈Decision to Leave〉 (2022) by 8 countries.

CJ ENM stated that they have already recouped the net production costs, excluding marketing and promotional expenses, solely from the pre-sale revenue.

Scheduled for domestic release on the 24th, 〈No Other Choice〉 depicts the struggle of a laid-off breadwinner, Man-soo (played by Lee Byung-hun), as he fights to re-employ himself. After its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, it received positive reviews from critics and audiences, but unfortunately did not win any awards.

Director Park Chan-wook and lead actor Lee Byung-hun are set to head directly from Italy to Toronto, Canada. The film has been invited to the Gala Presentation section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, which opened on the 4th, and Lee Byung-hun has been selected as a recipient of a special achievement award at this festival.
