YooA, who made her debut with the film ‘Project Y’, had a meaningful time at the 30th Busan International Film Festival. Additionally, as expected, all screenings sold out immediately upon ticket sales opening.
YooA graced the opening ceremony, open talk, and GV of the Busan International Film Festival alongside director Lee Hwan, Han So-hee, and Jeon Jong-seo. Appearing at the open talk event with an even more intense atmosphere and visuals, YooA expressed her confidence about her first character ‘Ha-kyung’, saying, “I thought that the role of ‘Ha-kyung’ might give a fresh sense of betrayal to those who remember the existing me, and I felt certain that it could be a good starting point as an actress.”
YooA debuted in 2015 as a member of the idol group ‘Oh My Girl’, creating numerous hit songs and actively engaging as a solo artist, receiving love from the public. In June, she announced her exclusive contract with People Entertainment, showing her determination to pursue acting. In ‘Project Y’, YooA plays a character that plays a key role in the development, captivating attention with her naturalness and sophistication that is hard to believe for a first work. Especially, her unique appearance and perfect image transformation surprised audiences who had previously encountered ‘Project Y’. As YooA takes her first steps as an actress, her future endeavors are drawing more attention than ever.
