Hollywood actor Tom Holland was urgently transported to the hospital after falling while filming the fourth installment of the 'Spider-Man' series, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'. The incident occurred on the 19th local time at the Watford Leavesden studio set near London, England, where Holland reportedly fell and hit his head during filming. Following examinations, Holland was diagnosed with a mild concussion and received treatment, and he is currently expected to pause filming for the time being to focus on recovery.
The studio filming has been temporarily halted due to this incident, and there are concerns that the film's production schedule may be delayed due to the lead actor's injury. It has been reported that the production companies Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have convened an emergency meeting to adjust the schedule. Holland's father, Dominic Holland, also officially stated at a charity dinner held in London that "his son will not be able to participate in filming for a while." The female stunt double involved was also confirmed to have been transported to the hospital for treatment.
The day after the accident, Tom Holland appeared at a charity event held at Christie's auction house in London with his fiancée Zendaya, but it is reported that he left early due to not feeling well. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is currently filming across various locations in the UK, aiming for a release in July 2026.
