Through Mnet's survival entertainment program 'Boys 2 Planet', the 8 members of the new boy group have been finalized.

On the 26th, Mnet announced the selection of 8 members for the new boy group 'Alpha Drive One' (ALD1) including Lee Sang-won, Zhou Anxin, He Xinlong, Kim Gun-woo, Zhang Zhaohao, Lee Rio, Jung Sang-hyun, and Kim Jun-seo. They were selected through votes from global viewers in 223 countries, overcoming a fierce competition rate of 20 to 1 among a total of 160 participants to secure their debut opportunity.

'Boys 2 Planet' gained popularity among K-pop fans both domestically and internationally, and the program's popularity was proven by numbers. The final global voting to determine the debut group attracted a total of 26,569,300 votes. The online video service (OTT) Tving showed overwhelming interest with a real-time peak share exceeding 95%.

In terms of buzz, it achieved remarkable results. The buzz research company Good Data Corporation's Pindex recorded 1st place for 9 consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT non-drama category, receiving continuous attention.

'Boys 2 Planet' was planned as a K-pop idol survival program targeting the global market. In Season 1, ZEROBASEONE was born, and this season showcased a differentiated approach by simultaneously producing Korean and Chinese versions of the program, recruiting 80 participants who speak Korean and 80 participants who speak Chinese.
