
This year's Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner, director Jafar Panahi's masterpiece 〈It Was Just an Accident〉(It Was Just an Accident) recorded a high seat sales rate on its opening day despite a small release scale, landing in the box office TOP10 and signaling a successful run. 〈It Was Just an Accident〉 achieved a seat sales rate of 15.3% on its opening day.

〈It Was Just an Accident〉 is a revenge drama that begins when 'Vahid', who returned to an ordinary life, discovers the man who led him to hell by a certain sound. Selected for the competition section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, it has received rave reviews from international media and critics, being hailed as "Jafar Panahi's best work" and "a new world opened by Jafar Panahi", winning the prestigious Palme d'Or. With this, director Jafar Panahi has achieved a 'triple crown' record by winning the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, and the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Only four directors in film history have achieved this record, and among current directors, Jafar Panahi is the only one.
