
CJ ENM and Warner Bros. Discovery have formed a joint front.
On October 16, CJ ENM and Warner Bros. Discovery announced the establishment of a strategic partnership to enhance the global expansion and competitiveness of K-content.
The two companies promised comprehensive collaboration including △joint planning and production of K-content △launching a Tving brand pavilion within HBO Max in 17 regions across the Asia-Pacific including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia △expanding global distribution. They chose to go beyond content collaboration to jointly enter platforms, thereby strengthening the sustainability of K-content.
The two companies will also promote global co-production of K-content. WBD and CJ ENM will plan and produce content that captures the hearts of viewers worldwide through joint investment. The content produced together by the two companies will be released to global audiences via HBO Max.
HBO Max and Tving will present pre-released content in early November after swift consultations. The official launch of the Tving brand pavilion will take place in early next year.
