The Netflix film 〈Good News〉 has released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the detailed production process of the work. 〈Good News〉 is a film that depicts the suspicious operations of a group of people who gathered to land a hijacked plane at all costs in the 1970s. 〈Good News〉 is currently streaming exclusively on Netflix.

The released behind-the-scenes video captivates viewers with the directorial intentions and various behind-the-scenes insights shared by director Byun Sung-hyun. First, director Byun stated, "I wanted to make a film that occasionally goes off track. The title is 〈Good News〉, but the situation the protagonist is in is definitely not good news," conveying the irony contained in the title of 〈Good News〉 and raising interest in the work. Furthermore, he added, "There are very diverse elements. I thought that if it were this kind of content, it could be made into chapters," sharing the intriguing backstory of the chapter-based structure that enhances the appeal of the work.

Regarding the character of the mysterious fixer played by Seol Kyung-gu, he said, "He is a character that does not exist in reality. He reads human psychology and deceives others," while describing Hong Kyung's character, elite Air Force Lieutenant Seo Go-myung, as "not a friend who acts out of a sense of justice, but a friend who acts out of personal desires and greed." He also mentioned the character of Park Sang-hyun, played by Ryu Seung-beom, stating, "The character of the head of the Central Intelligence Agency is usually depicted as serious and charismatic, but this time, he is not that kind of character," revealing the process of creating unique and distinctive characters that can only be seen in 〈Good News〉.

Additionally, he expressed his desire to show the human condition, saying, "I thought about the movements like a theatrical stage while planning the storyboard and shooting schedule," raising expectations for the unique and unparalleled style that director Byun Sung-hyun will portray.
