Jin Tae-hyun Responds to Criticism of Adult Adoption... "True Family Shares Life Together"

Actor Jin Tae-hyun has directly addressed some negative perceptions regarding adult adoption. On the 21st, Jin Tae-hyun shared his philosophy on adoption through his social media, responding to the question, "Why only adopt adults?"

Jin Tae-hyun introduced a comment from a netizen, saying, "I happened to see a comment elsewhere." The comment expressed hope that the adoption culture would expand due to the couple Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun, along with the opinion that if they could play the role of adoptive parents without going through legal procedures, it would be easier for the adoption culture to spread.

In response, Jin Tae-hyun expressed agreement, stating, "That is exactly the path we want to take as a couple." He emphasized, "Having meals together as family feels like a true shared life rather than just sponsorship."

Jin Tae-hyun reflected, "I think the small but negative thoughts of 'Why only adopt adults?' and 'Why not just sponsor?' are shaping our society today," and added, "I believe that sharing life together, giving time, and inviting others into our home is a better path than any huge donation or sponsorship."

He particularly noted, "I am already living while actively supporting others," and added, "My wife and I live hoping for others to do well. And I want to live a little more correctly, even if I am not kind or good."

Jin Tae-hyun reminisced, "In my youth, I lived very hard, difficult, awkward, and shameful. So I want to live while helping a little," and stated, "Even when I wasn't popular, I have always communicated like this and lived openly for a long time."

He clarified his values, saying, "I plan to live by bragging about my wife, friends, neighbors, and family, rather than showing off luxury items or money. That is the only true wealth I have."

Jin Tae-hyun married actress Park Si-eun in 2015 and experienced the pain of miscarriage before giving birth in 2022. He currently has a family with three adopted daughters. On the 24th of last month, he underwent thyroid cancer surgery but is recovering healthily, as he was seen running just a week later.
