Broadcaster Shin Dong-yup's daughter has been accepted into the Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) Dance Department, bringing joy to the family. Shin Dong-yup's agency, CP Entertainment, officially confirmed on the 21st, "It is true that Shin Dong-yup's daughter has been accepted into the Korea National University of Arts. Thank you for the warm interest."

Shin Dong-yup shared the news of his daughter's university acceptance on the web entertainment show 'Jjanhan Hyung' that aired on the 6th. During the filming, Shin Dong-yup requested his phone from the manager, revealing his nervousness by saying, "It's our daughter's university acceptance announcement day," and received congratulations from MC Jung Ho-cheol and guest Shin Seung-hoon after confirming her acceptance. Shin Dong-yup's daughter, Shin Ji-hyo, is known to have started ballet at a young age and entered high school with a ballet major. Ultimately, she achieved the result of being accepted into the KNUA Dance Department in 2026.

Shin Dong-yup's wife, Sun Hye-yoon PD, shared the happy news through her pet's social media account in September, saying, "Mom has been very busy for a long time. With my sister's university acceptance, I now have a little more time to relax." Sun Hye-yoon PD and Shin Dong-yup got married in 2006 and have a daughter, Shin Ji-hyo, born in 2007, and a son, Shin Gyu-wan, born in 2010.
