BTS member V and singer Park Hyo-shin's collaboration song 'Winter Ahead' has recorded 500 million cumulative plays on the global music streaming platform Spotify, as announced by their agency Big Hit Music on the 28th.

This duet song, released last November, surpassed 500 million cumulative plays on Spotify as of the 25th. This marks the fourth instance of V achieving 500 million streams on Spotify with his solo activity songs. Previously, 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing' had also reached the same milestone.

'Winter Ahead' is a jazz-pop genre song that blends saxophone, trumpet, and dreamy prepared piano performances. Prepared piano is a performance technique that involves inserting various objects inside the piano to create unique timbres, and in this song, it creates a cozy and warm winter atmosphere.

The song achieved the feat of entering the 'Hot 100', the main singles chart of Billboard in the United States, immediately after its release. It was also included in Billboard's selection of '27 Best Winter Songs for This Season', recognizing its musical completeness.
