Suda Masaki X Shim Eun-kyung, Meeting in NHK's New Work 'Queen of Mars'!

NHK's new SF drama 〈Queen of Mars〉(火星の女王) will feature Suda Masaki and Shim Eun-kyung as main characters, airing in December 2025. This work, planned as a special feature for NHK's 100th anniversary, depicts humanity facing an unidentified existence that shakes Martian society in 2125, wavering between hope and disaster while confronting a massive conspiracy between Mars and Earth.

The drama also casts Taiwanese newcomer Sli Lin, selected through an international audition, and Japanese actor Suda Masaki. Shim Eun-kyung plays the role of 'Gale', the deputy director of ISDA Mars, forming a crucial part of the story. Suda Masaki plays 'Shiraishi Aoto', an employee of ISDA Japan, whose connection with Lily (Sli Lin), with whom he shares a special promise on Mars, unfolds.

This year, Shim Eun-kyung has been active in various genres in Japan, including films and dramas, and her joining this NHK drama is expected to further solidify her position in Japan. Other cast members alongside Suda Masaki, Shim Eun-kyung, and Sli Lin include Kishii Yukino, Miyazawa Hio, Sugawara Koharu, and Matsuo Suzuki.
