The film 〈The Master of the World〉 is on the verge of surpassing 100,000 viewers, and director Yoon Ga-eun is embarking on a nationwide GV (Guest Visit) tour to meet the audience directly. Since its release on October 22, 〈The Master of the World〉 has continued to maintain its box office momentum. Director Yoon Ga-eun plans to communicate with the audience in real-time while touring major cities across the country, including Seoul, Busan, Jeonju, Gwangju, and Gangneung.
The first event of the nationwide tour will be a special GV on November 12 at 7:30 PM at Megabox COEX, featuring director Bong Joon-ho and journalist Kim Hye-ri, drawing attention from the independent film community, critics, and audiences alike. Director Bong Joon-ho is well-known for casting actress Jang Hye-jin in the film 〈Parasite〉 after watching Yoon Ga-eun's debut film 〈Our Body〉, and he praised Yoon's second work 〈Our Home〉 by saying, "Along with Abbas Kiarostami and Hirokazu Kore-eda, she is a 'master of directing child actors with vividness.'" Expectations are high for the film discussions that director Bong will share during this GV.
Following this, the relay GV will continue on November 13 at the Busan Cinema Center (with critic Ok Mina attending), November 15 at Jeonju Digital Independent Cinema (accompanied by director Choi Jin-young), November 16 at Gwangju Theater (discussion with director Kim Hee-jung), and November 20 at Gangneung Independent Arts Theater (talk with director Lim O-jeong). The film 〈The Master of the World〉 delicately portrays the psychological turmoil, anxiety of youth, and moments of growth experienced by a high school student 'Juin' who refuses to participate in a signature campaign that everyone else is involved in, receiving anonymous notes in the process.
