On this day, Song Hye-kyo was nominated for Best Actress for the horror film 'The Black Nuns', but only made an appearance at the main ceremony. According to officials, "Song Hye-kyo could not participate in the red carpet event due to her urgent filming schedule."

The Best Actress award that day went to Son Ye-jin for the movie 'Can't Help It'. Song Hye-kyo was nominated alongside Son Ye-jin, Lee Hye-young ('The Breakup'), Lee Jae-in ('High Five'), and Lim Yoona ('The Devil Has Arrived'), but unfortunately did not win.
In the horror film 'The Black Nuns', set to be released in 2025, Song Hye-kyo played the role of a nun and delivered a remarkable performance. The film tells the story of nuns performing a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by an evil spirit, and Song Hye-kyo has been praised for attempting a new acting transformation through this work.

Meanwhile, at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin made history by winning the Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively, marking the first time in 46 years that a couple has received leading awards in the same year. The Best Picture award went to Park Chan-wook's 'Can't Help It', achieving a total of six awards.
