'Black and White Chef 2' Kim Hak-min & Kim Eun-ji PD "Season 2 Kick Features Unexpected Participants"

〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars 2〉 will finally unveil on December 16 (Tuesday).

Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji PD, who caused a sensation by ranking first in the Netflix Global TOP 10 TV Non-English category for three consecutive weeks, stated, "The 'kick' of Season 2 features the appearance of participants we never imagined." They added, "In Season 1, the key point was that chefs who never dreamed of participating joined us. It seems that a special narrative unique to Season 2 was able to emerge through them. If it were Season 1, they would have appeared as silver spoons, but now they will appear as black spoons," increasing expectations.

〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars〉 received great love in Season 1 for its fresh and shocking rules, including blind judging where judges evaluated only taste while blindfolded in 1:1 black and white battles, and an infinite cooking hell where one person survives by creating new dishes with a single ingredient, tofu. The signature elements of 〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class Wars〉 such as 1:1 blind judging and infinite cooking hell will also be present in Season 2.

Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji PD stated, "Our principle was to not forget why we were loved," adding, "We aimed to carry forward the points that were loved while trying to change the aspects that were disappointing. We did not pursue newness for the sake of it, but rather worked to find a balance between novelty and fun." They continued, "Reflecting the viewers' opinions, we reduced the team rounds from 2 to 1 and added 1:1 missions while applying new rules that can further maximize the intensity of the black and white class wars," adding, "Our most important guideline was that 'there will never be rules like elimination again.' We tried to arrange more fun and tense missions," further increasing expectations.
