
Member of the idol group Snow Man, Meguro Ren, has garnered significant attention for taking on an important role in TBS Sunday Theater 'The Royal Family', starring Tsuma Buki Satoshi.
This work marks Meguro Ren's first appearance in Sunday Theater and is a special collaboration with Director Tsukahara Ayuko, with whom he previously worked on the film 'My Happy Marriage'.
A 20-Year Narrative Set in the Horse Racing World
'The Royal Family' is a large-scale drama depicting the story of adults who continue to chase their dreams over 20 years, set in the horse racing world. Tsuma Buki Satoshi plays the lead role, while Meguro Ren takes on a key role in the story. However, the production team has not revealed his specific role until the broadcast, further piquing viewers' curiosity.
In an interview, Meguro Ren expressed, "I am very happy to be able to appear in Sunday Theater for the first time and to work with Director Tsukahara again. I am also very happy to act alongside such a luxurious cast."
He candidly admitted about horse racing, "I haven't had much experience with it," but revealed his affection for the work, saying, "Even so, I became very interested through the script." He created a mysterious atmosphere regarding his role, stating, "I would like to introduce more about my role, but I cannot say more than this right now."
This work is also set to be released on Netflix, and expectations are high for Meguro Ren's new acting transformation alongside talented actors like Tsuma Buki Satoshi and Matsumoto Wakana.
