KBS Announces Special Arrangement for Late Lee Soon-jae's Final Work and Memorial Space

KBS will set up a special memorial space for actor Lee Soon-jae to allow the public to pay their respects.

Actor Lee Soon-jae passed away at the age of 91 on November 25. Voices of mourning are being heard not only from fellow and junior actors but also from citizens for the veteran actor who has had a 70-year acting career. In particular, Lee Soon-jae demonstrated consistent sincerity without tardiness or special treatment even after becoming a senior figure, showcasing exemplary behavior.

In response, KBS announced that it will create a memorial space in the audience square of the KBS main building and set up a special memorial space on the 2nd floor for the general public to pay their respects. Lee Soon-jae won the KBS Acting Award that year for the 2024 KBS drama 〈Dog Knows Everything〉, and KBS stated that it will prepare a memorial space to bid farewell to Lee Soon-jae, who has been a model and beacon in the Korean entertainment industry, from the evening of that day until the 30th.

Additionally, KBS has decided to schedule special programming featuring Lee Soon-jae. On KBS2, from 10:45 PM to 12:05 AM on that day, it will air 'Memorial Special: National Actor Lee Soon-jae Dog Knows Everything Episodes 1-4 Marathon', and on the 26th from 11:10 PM to 12:25 AM, it will broadcast 'Memorial Special: National Actor Lee Soon-jae Ten Minutes, Your Trivial'. KBSN will schedule 'Dog Knows Everything' Episodes 1-6 from 10 AM on the 27th and Episodes 7-12 from 10 AM on the 28th.
