Lee Seo-jin Participates in MBC Documentary Narration in Memory of the Late Lee Soon-jae... Airing Today

Actor Lee Seo-jin has taken on the narration for an MBC special documentary honoring the late national actor Lee Soon-jae, who passed away on the 25th.

According to his agency Antenna on the 28th, Lee Seo-jin participated in the narration work for the MBC memorial documentary airing at 8:40 PM that day.

The two actors met as King Yeongjo and King Jeongjo in the 2007 MBC historical drama 〈Yi San〉, where they worked together. They have maintained a special connection by traveling together in Europe through the tvN travel variety show 〈Grandpa Over Flowers〉.

MBC has urgently scheduled a special documentary highlighting Lee Soon-jae's over 70 years of acting life. The program, directed by PD Kim Ho-sung of 'PD Notebook', is titled 〈MBC Special Memorial Documentary: We Have Benefited a Lot from Actor Lee Soon-jae〉.

Additionally, the broadcasting station has set up a themed section on its website titled 'The Works of the Eternal Active Actor Lee Soon-jae'. Viewers can revisit over 20 dramas featuring the late actor, including 〈Heo Jun〉 and 〈High Kick Without Hesitation〉.

Lee Soon-jae, who passed away at the age of 91, debuted in 1956 with the play 〈Beyond the Horizon〉. He became known to the public through the drama 〈Blue Horizon〉 on Korea's first television station, Daehan Broadcasting.

Starting as an exclusive actor for TBC, he appeared in over 100 dramas on KBS and MBC. His representative works include the MBC drama 〈What is Love〉 (1991) and the historical drama 〈Heo Jun〉 (1999).

In 〈What is Love〉, he left a deep impression on viewers by portraying the patriarchal 'Daebal's Father', and in 〈Heo Jun〉, he played the warm teacher Yoo Ui-tae. In the 2000s, he built a friendly image by earning nicknames like 'Adult Video Soon-jae' through the MBC sitcom 〈High Kick〉 series.
