Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, and Park Hae-soo revealed the focus of their performances in 〈The Price of Confession〉.
A mystery thriller depicting the events between 'Yoon-soo', a suspect accused of killing her husband, and the mysterious figure 'Mo-eun', known as a witch, held a press conference on December 3rd (Wednesday) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. On this day, director Lee Jung-hyo and actors Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, and Park Hae-soo shared various stories about the work.
Jeon Do-yeon, who plays the role of 'Ahn Yoon-soo', a suspect in her husband's murder who receives an irresistible dangerous deal from the 'witch' in prison, stated, "'Yoon-soo' is a free-spirited, honest, and bright person, but I thought of her dark side, which has a great desire to fill the void regarding her family. I focused more on the unseen aspects than the visible ones in my acting," revealing her acting focus to express a complex character. Kim Go-eun, who plays the witch 'Mo-eun' who appears before 'Yoon-soo' and proposes a dangerous deal, added, "I hoped that 'Mo-eun' would not hide behind her hair at all. I wanted her to be a character that is fully revealed but whose thoughts are hard to understand. I acted with the thought that there is an expression even in a blank face, even though there are not many expressions," raising expectations for her new acting transformation. Park Hae-soo, who plays the prosecutor 'Baek Dong-hoon' trying to uncover the secret deal between 'Yoon-soo' and 'Mo-eun', shared his character interpretation, saying, "I thought that rather than being driven by a sense of justice to pursue the case, there must be personal desires, possessiveness, or obsessive motivations. I tried to find that. At some point, a narrow perspective close to obsession appeared, and although it is a thriller, I thought of it as a melodrama while filming."
〈The Price of Confession〉 will be released today (5th) on Netflix.
