The sensation 'Labubu' is returning as a movie.

According to the media outlet 'Hollywood Reporter', Sony Pictures is moving forward with a film adaptation of the popular character 'Labubu'. Currently, the film is expected to be led by director Paul King. Director Paul King has previously directed 〈Paddington〉 and 〈Willy Wonka〉, bringing warm joy to global audiences.

As it is still in the early stages of production, not much is confirmed, but it has been reported that it will be a 'live-action' film. Wenxin She, who participated in the co-production of 〈Wish Dragon〉 and 〈A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood〉, will be involved in the production.

Labubu is a character from Pop Mart International Group's own IP, characterized by rabbit ears and sharp teeth. The character was created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung and is showcased in a series called 'THE MONSTERS'.
