"When I hold cash, I become stronger, but when I use my power, the money disappears." The most calculating hero in the world is coming.

The Netflix Original Series 〈Cashero〉 tells the story of Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant who gains superpowers only as much as the cash he holds. It catches attention with its fresh attempt to combine economic concerns with superpowers, breaking away from the typical superhero setting.

The production presentation held at the Westin Seoul Parnas Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 22nd was attended by director Lee Chang-min and actors Lee Junho, Kim Byung-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Kang Han-na, and Lee Chae-min, raising expectations for the work.

Lead actor Lee Junho introduced his character, saying, "He was an ordinary civil servant who was saving hard before marriage, but suddenly received superpowers and fell into a dilemma," adding, "A hero full of realism that is easy to empathize with."

The core of the work is the condition of the superpowers. Sang-woong gains strength only as much as the cash he holds, and using his ability also makes the money disappear. This conditional superpower that suddenly appears reflects realistic concerns about the diminishing savings for his wedding.

⬦ To use powers, one must drink and gain weight… A clumsy superpower team 'LOL'

Director Lee Chang-min said, "I think it's somewhere between superpowers and a curse," adding, "As Sang-woong grows, you will see him using true superpowers, not a curse, in the latter half."

Other superheroes appearing in the drama also have their own tricky conditions. The lawyer (Kim Byung-chul) can only pass through walls when he is drunk, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi) can exert telekinesis only as much as the calories of the food she has consumed.

Kim Hyang-gi said, "At an age when I am very concerned about my appearance, I have to use telekinesis without being able to diet, which makes Eun-mi's inner self full of anger," and when asked what ability she would like to have, she replied, "I want to live normally," causing laughter.

The villains targeting their powers are siblings Joanna (Kang Han-na) and Jonathan (Lee Chae-min). A scene from the trailer released at the production presentation where Joanna says to Sang-woong, "You have no money now, you broke ○○" also caused laughter.

Kang Han-na said, "It's something I've never said to anyone, but I wanted to express it deliciously," and even showcased the same line two more times on set.

⬦ "Heart over money"… A heavy message thrown into the capitalist world

The work deals with a hero who is obsessed with money on the surface, but actually highlights the value of sincerity for others. Lee Junho added, "In fact, just because we have a lot of money doesn't mean we can easily help others; it takes a heart to save someone," and said, "I realized while filming that helping others comes from a sincere heart."

〈Cashero〉 consists of a total of 8 episodes and will be released simultaneously on Netflix on the 26th.
