"This is not a simulation. It is Judgment Day."
The 'Trouble Maker' Jake Paul, who has evolved from YouTuber to professional boxer, is ready to make headlines once again. His opponent is the former unified heavyweight champion from the UK, Anthony Joshua.
This mega event, taking place on the 19th (local time) at the Kaseya Center in Miami, will be broadcast live worldwide through the largest OTT platform Netflix. Initially, Paul's opponent was Gervonta Davis, but due to Davis's legal issues, the opponent changed dramatically to Joshua just two weeks ago.
◆ Can Paul, who defeated Tyson and Chavez Jr., overcome the 'heavyweight giant'?
At 28 years old, Jake Paul's momentum is fierce. Since his debut in 2020, he has a record of 12 wins and 1 loss, having defeated former UFC champion Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, and most recently, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June and 'Iron' Mike Tyson (58) in November, establishing himself at the center of boxing. Ahead of this match, Paul expressed confidence, saying, "Everyone laughed when I said I wanted to fight AJ (Anthony Joshua), but we made the biggest fight in history a reality."

◆ "No mercy"... Joshua's comeback fight for pride
On the other hand, for 36-year-old Anthony Joshua (28 wins, 4 losses, 25 KOs), this match is a stage for restoring his pride. An Olympic gold medalist and former WBO, WBA, IBF heavyweight champion, he has been focused on rehabilitation after undergoing elbow surgery following a shocking 5th round TKO loss to Daniel Dubois last September. Joshua stated, "There is no mercy. I have returned for the mega show," and added, "Whether you like it or not, I will break all records." Joshua has a significant physical advantage, standing at 198 cm, which is 13 cm taller than Paul (approximately 185 cm), and he also has a clear edge in reach and weight class.
◆ Viewing Points: Rules, Odds, and Netflix
The match will be held with 10-ounce gloves for 3 minutes over 8 rounds. Joshua has a weight limit of 245 pounds (approximately 111 kg). Local bookmakers predict a landslide victory for Joshua. The odds are heavily tilted towards Joshua at -900 (you need to bet $900 to win $100), while Paul is at +600 (betting $100 would yield $600). However, given that Paul has shown the ability to defy expectations in previous matches, the possibility of an upset cannot be ruled out.
This match can be watched by anyone who is a Netflix subscriber without a separate PPV (pay-per-view) purchase. The preliminary matches start at 4:45 PM Eastern Time, and the main card begins at 8 PM.
