'Chainsaw Man' Announces Production of Next Season... Clash of Assassins Unfolds

〈Chainsaw Man〉 announced the production of a sequel following the great success of the movie version.

On December 21st, at 'Jump Festa 2026', the team behind 〈Chainsaw Man〉 unveiled a new teaser video. The teaser shows Makima sitting in a theater watching something, with shadows of various characters passing by. It then reveals Denji with his arms tied to human intestines and introduces new characters, culminating in the title 'Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc'.

Judging by the teaser video and visual, it seems the content will follow the International Assassins Episode that continues after the Reze Episode in the original 〈Chainsaw Man〉. In this episode, Denji and the Public Safety Division face off against numerous assassins targeting Chainsaw Man. This arc is known for featuring some of the most powerful villains and the original's unique ironic comedy.

As with previous works, the animation studio MAPPA will be in charge of production. Aside from the teaser, little information has been released, so it is still uncertain whether it will be a movie or a TV animation.
