British comedian and actor Russell Brand (50), who is facing trial for sexual offenses, has been indicted again just a day before Christmas. Following the first indictment in April, the UK police, which has been continuing its investigation, uncovered additional criminal facts, putting Brand in a more precarious position.

According to the BBC and the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on the 24th (local time), Russell Brand has been additionally charged with multiple new allegations of sexual assault and rape.

◆ Ongoing Investigation... Additional Victims Confirmed

Brand was already awaiting trial after being charged in April 2025 with rape and sexual assault against four women from 2006 to 2013. This additional indictment results from the London Metropolitan Police investigating further reports received after the initial indictment. The BBC reported, "The police have been closely examining additional allegations raised following investigative reports from 'Channel 4' and 'Sunday Times' over the past few months, and based on this, the prosecution decided to add charges."

◆ 'Fateful Trial' in June 2026

As a result, Brand is expected to address both the existing charges and the newly added charges in the upcoming trial scheduled for June 2026 at the London Southwark Crown Court. Legal experts have analyzed that "with the addition of charges, the potential sentence has significantly increased, and bail conditions may also be re-evaluated."

◆ Brand Claims "Conspiracy by Leftist Media"... Completely Denies Allegations

Currently residing in Florida, USA, and active on alternative platforms like 'Rumble' instead of YouTube, Brand immediately reacted to the additional charges. He stated through his channel, "This is an organized attack by mainstream media and the government to silence me," reiterating that all sexual encounters were consensual.

Meanwhile, separate from this criminal indictment in the UK, a civil lawsuit filed in New York State by 'Jane Doe' is also ongoing, indicating that the legal battles surrounding Russell Brand are likely to extend into 2026.
