T.O.P from BIGBANG Announces Solo Album After 13 Years... Returns to Music for 20th Anniversary

Singer T.O.P (real name Choi Seung-hyun), a former member of the group BIGBANG, is returning to music this year with a solo album to mark his 20th anniversary since debut.

On the 1st, T.O.P announced through his social networking service (SNS) that "A NEW ALBUM IS ON THE WAY."

The post also included the phrase 'ANOTHER DIMENSION', suggesting that this may be the title of the new album.

This will be T.O.P's first solo album release in 13 years since the digital single 'DOOM DADA' in 2013. Additionally, it marks a return to music after three years since he officially announced his departure from BIGBANG in 2023.

T.O.P debuted as a member of BIGBANG in 2006 and enjoyed top-tier popularity while transitioning between singing and acting. However, he suspended all activities in 2017 after being caught for marijuana use. He later made his acting comeback in December 2024 by appearing in the Netflix original series 〈Squid Game 2〉.

In an interview related to 〈Squid Game 2〉 last January, he expressed, "I still feel nothing but regret towards the members of BIGBANG, both now and in the future." He added, "The mistake I made was so significant that I felt like I had stopped for 10 years. It seems like too much time has passed for me to return without shame."
