Lee Mi-kyung, Vice Chair of CJ Group, has been selected for ‘50 Over 50 Global: 2026’ by the American weekly magazine Forbes. She is the only Korean on this list.

Since 2021, Forbes has been highlighting women leaders over 50 who have achieved significant accomplishments, transcending age and gender boundaries. The list announced this year includes leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators from 36 countries and regions around the world, who are making innovations and achievements across various industries, from aviation to architecture to resources and mining.

Forbes highly praised Lee Mi-kyung as a key figure in the global expansion of Korean cinema. Forbes stated, "Entertainment industry mogul Lee Mi-kyung has played a pivotal role in the globalization of Korean cinema," mentioning her achievement as the executive producer of the film〈Parasite〉, which led to it becoming the first non-English language film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2020. Forbes also noted that alongside this achievement, Lee Mi-kyung is continuously expanding the global potential of Asian storytelling by establishing the global label ‘First Light StoryHouse’ to discover and support Asian creators and content based on Asian stories by 2025.

Meanwhile, last December, she was named among the ‘120 Most Influential Executives in the Entertainment Industry’ selected by the American entertainment magazine Variety.
