Lee Jun-hyuk Confirmed to Appear in SBS New Drama 'The Awakening'... First Transformation into an Exorcist

Actor Lee Jun-hyuk is preparing for a special transformation. He will challenge the role of an exorcist dressed in a black cassock.

On the 28th, SBS officially announced that Lee Jun-hyuk will star in the new drama 〈The Awakening〉 set to air next year.

〈The Awakening〉 is an occult exorcism drama set in Seongnyeong High School, which has fallen into a playground for evil spirits while being focused on academic improvement. It tells the story of an exorcist who risks his soul to confront evil spirits in order to save students in crisis.

Through this work, Lee Jun-hyuk will take on his first role in the occult genre.

In the drama, the character Antonio, played by Lee Jun-hyuk, is a newly appointed guiding priest at Seongnyeong High School. However, his true identity is that of a formally ordained exorcist from the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Antonio is dispatched to investigate and deal with the evil spirits that have spread throughout the school.

Antonio will face bizarre and inexplicable incidents occurring in the school. He will track down the source of evil that drives students to death and engage in a fierce battle to protect their souls.
