The multiplex theater Megabox has confirmed its February lineup for its exclusive content brand ‘Mega Only’. This lineup consists of a total of 7 diverse works, ranging from emotional romances aimed at Valentine's Day to animations that sparked the short-form challenge craze, and documentaries featuring world-renowned masters.

From the Otherworldly Love Triangle 〈Eternal〉 to the $100 Million Epic 〈The Count of Monte Cristo〉

Kicking off on February 4, the new release from the well-made studio A24, 〈Eternal〉, opens the lineup. This film depicts the bizarre love triangle of two husbands and one wife who reunite at a transfer station in the afterlife, featuring a glamorous cast including Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Colm Turner, capturing the expectations of audiences who prefer 'feel-good' romantic comedies.

Following that, on the 13th, the blockbuster 〈The Count of Monte Cristo〉, which attracted 9.4 million viewers in France and recorded a global box office of $100 million, will be screened. This film, which was invited to the 77th Cannes Film Festival, restores Alexandre Dumas's original work on a grand scale, presenting a grand narrative of revenge and redemption.

Targeting Subculture Fandom... New 〈Love Live〉 and Dolby Screening of 〈Princess Mononoke〉

The lineup for animation fans is also solid. On the 5th, the action drama 〈Under Ninja〉, based on the manga of the same name by Kengo Hanazawa, will be released, and on the 8th, the live performance 〈[Live Viewing] Stage 'Kitaro's Birth: The Mystery of Gegege'〉 will greet audiences.

Notably, on the 18th, two highly anticipated films will be released simultaneously. The film 〈Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter Part 2〉, which dominated short-form channels with the 'Nani Gasuki (What Do You Like?)' challenge, will be unveiled, and Studio Ghibli's masterpiece 〈Princess Mononoke〉 will be screened in Dolby format for the first time in the country. The deep contrasts and immersive sound of Dolby Cinema are expected to maximize the emotional impact of the original work, which depicts the struggle between nature and humanity.

A Landscape of Theaters Captured by Masters 〈Mr. Kim Goes to the Movies〉

The documentary 〈Mr. Kim Goes to the Movies〉, set to be released in February, is highly anticipated by filmmakers. Directed by Kim Dong-ho, the former executive director of the Busan International Film Festival, at the age of 88, this work is a landscape painting that records the present of theaters. Renowned directors such as Lee Chang-dong, Park Chan-wook, and Bong Joon-ho, as well as global masters like Hiroshi Koreeda and Luc Besson, share their honest stories about film and theaters.

A representative from Megabox stated, "From romantic comedies tailored for the Valentine's Day season to globally successful blockbusters and legendary animations, we will provide a special viewing experience that can only be felt at Megabox."
